SmartSheets in Uganda

International Outreach is a program funded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada and supported by member organizations and friends of St. Joseph's Health System. Together they partner with developing countries to provide training in current medical and nursing techniques, transport basic medical supplies, and make donated equipment operational.

In January of 2011, Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital in Uganda was the site of a teaching session presented by St. Joseph’s Hospital.  The class included a large group of nurses, midwives and students in the Maternal Newborn Program. The focus was Nursing documentation.  As you can see in the background, the SmartSheets came in very handy as no tape or pins were required - the sheet adhered to the wall very easily and after the session the staff was able to keep it on display as a teaching tool.
